Nå har jeg laget johncons-strømmen, (som går der Farriselva går nå), og innerst i Larviksfjorden, så har jeg bygget Norges nye hovedstad johncons-by, sånn at vi får hovedstaden litt lenger unna Sverige, (for eksempel):

Det er nok også mulig, å koble på Numedalslågen, til denne nye 'johncons-fjorden', som man da får, der hvor Farris er nå.

(Så hadde det nok blitt litt mer som oppi Drammen der, mener jeg).

Spørsmålet er vel da, om det blir mangel, på drikkevann.

Det har jeg ikke helt oversikt over, (må jeg innrømme).

Men jeg husker det, at min onkel Martin, (som hans samboer Grete Ingebrigtsen sa om, (i 2005), at var 'uhygenisk'), han har bada, i Farris.

Så det vannet, det er vel antagelig uegna, som drikkevann nå, (må man vel regne med).

(For å skøye litt, mener jeg).

Så sånn er nok det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Hvis Lågen hadde gått cirka sånn her.

Så hadde det nok blitt litt mer fart, på både Farris og Farriselva.

Så da behøver man kanskje ikke å jobbe så mye, med å utvide Farriselva/johncons-strømmen.

Det er mulig.

Og så kunne muligens danskebåten, ha gått helt til Telemark, da.

(Og kanskje helt til Kongsberg.

Hvem vet).

Så sånn er muligens det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Jeg mener at det var på den stranda her, (på Sand), at Christell og Pia dro meg med, fordi at vi skulle ligge og sole oss, sommeren 1989. Og så dukka plutselig min tidligere klassekamerat Espen Melheim opp der, sammen med Annika Horten og Anne Uglum, som begge to kun hadde på seg noen små bikinitruser. Og så ble jeg med dem, mens de dreiv med windsurfing, (for det ble litt kjedelig, å bare ligge å se på det, liksom)

Min Bok 6 - Kapittel 17: Enda mer fra de første ukene i Sunderland

En av de første dagene, som jeg bodde, i Sunderland.

Så traska jeg rundt, i området like ved Stadium of Light, (husker jeg).

For å finne den databutikken, som jeg hadde funnet, på Google, en av de siste dagene, som jeg bodde, i Oslo.

Og i den databutikken, (som jeg brukte litt tid på å finne, for den butikken lå inne i et slags industriområde, må man vel kalle det), da.

Så kjøpte jeg min første Windows-lisens, (husker jeg).

(For jeg tenkte vel at jeg burde være litt mer forsiktig, med å bruke, de CD-ene, (med forskjellige Windows-versjoner), som jeg hadde fått, av Magne Winnem, siden jeg nå bodde i England, (og ikke lenger i Norge), da.

(Jeg tenkte at ting som piratkopiering, kanskje ble sett litt strengere på, i England.

Mens det liksom er mer kultur, for å piratkopiere, i Norge, da.

Mener jeg at jeg har lest, i aviser osv., i Norge, noen år før jeg flytta, til England, ihvertfall).

Jeg kjøpte meg også en ny harddisk, (for jeg hadde jo kasta den gamle harddisken, før jeg flytta til England, i tilfelle det var noen ulovlige programmer osv., på den) og et nytt kabinett.

(Og sikkert mer, som jeg har glemt, og).

Og det var en liten ting, som jeg gjorde feil da, da jeg skulle bygge, den nye PC-en.

Så jeg måtte dra ned enda en gang, (med taxi, husker jeg), ned til den PC-butikken, da.

Og da forklarte de meg det, (dagen etter, eller noe sånt), at jeg hadde festet en ledning litt feil, (eller noe sånt), da.

Men jeg var kanskje litt mer utålmodig, i England, (enn i Norge), da.

For jeg hadde jo oppgradert PC-en, (og bytta kabinett og hovedkort osv.), i Norge, tidligere.

Uten at jeg hadde så utrolig store problemer med det, vel.

(Sånn som jeg husker det, ihvertfall).

Så sånn var det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

(Jeg brukte forresten Windows NT Server 3.0, (eller om det kan ha vært klient-versjonen, eller noe sånt), i en ganske lang periode, i Norge.

Og det var fordi, at jeg hadde fått en student-utgave, (eller noe sånt), av det operativsystemet, da.

I forbindelse med at jeg var på et fem dagers-kurs, i NT Server Core Tech, (med Global Knowledge Network), på Skullerud, i en av de første månedene, av 1998.

(Mens jeg hadde en ukes ferie, fra min jobb, som assisterende butikksjef, på Rimi Bjørndal).

Som jeg har skrevet om, i Min Bok 5).

Så sånn var det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men).

De første dagene, som jeg var, i Sunderland, så hadde jeg også tilgang, til internett, fra St. Peter's Campus, (husker jeg).

For i den øverste datasalen, (var det vel), i the Goldman Building.

Så fantes det noen gjeste-PC-er, (husker jeg), som man kunne låne, før man fikk seg student-login, da.

Og jeg husker at det jobba en kineser, (eller om han var japaner), som et slags orakel, i den øverste datasalen der, (hvor blant annet disse gjeste-PC-ene stod), da.

(I tillegg til at det også fantes en resepsjon, i den nederste etasjen der, da.

Eller, det er kanskje riktigere å si 'det nederste nivået', (eller noe sånt).

For the Goldman Building er et moderne bygg, med få vegger og mye luft, da.

Noe sånt).

Så sånn var det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

Mens jeg satt, ved en av PC-ene, i den øverste datasalen der, (i the Goldman Building), en av de første ukene, som jeg var, i Sunderland, (må det vel ha vært).

(Jeg husker ikke om det var en gjeste-PC eller om det var en student-PC, som jeg satt da).

Så så jeg det, at jeg hadde fått en e-post fra Dag Anders Rougseth, (som sa at han ble kalt Dagga), fra HiO IU, (på Hotmail), husker jeg.

Og han lurte på hvor jeg var, (eller hva jeg drev med da), husker jeg.

Og jeg svarte vel det.

(Etter en dag eller to ihvertfall, vel).

At jeg var i Sunderland, (eller ihvertfall i England), da.

(Noe sånt).

Så sånn var det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

Jeg kjøpte meg også et trådløst nettverk-kort, til PC-en min, (i Sunderland), husker jeg.

(Dette var vel et CPU-kort, (som det kalles), mener jeg å huske).

Og det var fordi, at the Forge, (hvor jeg bodde), jo hadde gratis trådløst bredbånd.

Og da måtte man ha et sånt WiFi-kort da, (som det vel også heter).

Og da måtte jeg ta med det nettverkskortet, til andre etasjen, i the Goldman Building der, da.

Sånn at de oraklene der, (han kineseren og kollegene hans), kunne skrive opp MAC-addressen, til nettverkskortet mitt, da.

Og så fikk jeg en konto, på det trådløse nettverket, til the Forge, da.

(Så dette var kanskje en litt tungvint løsning.

Dette at man måtte registere MAC-adressen sin, i the Golman Building.

Andre, lignende nettverk, er vel kanskje åpne.

(Uten at jeg er noen ekspert, på dette).

Sånn at man da slipper, denne ekstra prosedyren, som det jo er, å registrere seg, (og sine forskjellige nettverkskort), på en slik måte, da.

Hvis det ble noe feil, med nettverkskortet, (og man trengte et nytt nettverkskort, med en ny MAC-adresse), så måtte man jo da dra innom, disse oraklene igjen, for å få en ny konto, da.

(For ofte, så måtte studentene på the Forge, kjøpe flere forskjellige nettverkskort, før de fikk tak i et som virket, da.

(Mener jeg å huske, ihvertfall).

Selv om jeg ikke hadde dette problemet selv, da.

Og da måtte de vel også muligens innom oraklene, i the Goldman Building, en gang, for hver gang, som de kjøpte seg et nettverkskort, da).

Noe sånt.

Så dette kunne muligens ta litt tid og krefter, da.

Hvem vet).

Så sånn var det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

Det var fortsatt mye mer som hendte, den tida som jeg bodde, i Sunderland.

Og dette tenkte jeg at jeg skulle prøve å få skrevet mer om, i de neste kapitlene, av Min Bok 6.

Så vi får se om jeg klarer å få til det.

Vi får se.

Det her er vel onkelen til Gry Stenberg, (fra Min Bok). Han, (og kona hans Edel), bodde like ved krysset Havnehagen/Ulvikveien, (cirka ved siden av huset hvor Nina Monsen bodde, hos onkelen sin, på begynnelsen av 80-tallet). Det var vel sønnen til Rolf og Edel, (som faren min vel kalte dem), som Gry Stenberg sa om, (på første halvdel av 80-tallet en gang), at tarmen til falt ut, da hu var barnepike for han. Og da hadde Edel sagt det, at da var det bare å dytte inn tarmen igjen, (sa Gry). Noe sånt

yesterday, (Tuesday), I was in your store, in Walton Road.

And the check-out-woman told me to go to another till.

(She had a pack of soup, or something, which it was some problem with,
it seemed.

But she didn't explain).

Shouldn't she have asked a manager to help her with the problem?

Perhaps you should start with self-service tills?

It seems its always something odd, with your cashiers.
