Hi,

this is really feedback, for the officers who were here last year.

That's what this is about.

I think I know what it's about, since I'm sending this.

It's feedback, to the officers from the Council, who where here last year, regarding garbage in Leather Lane, (where the building Hope Champers is).

I wrote in the first e-mail to you, that this was just for your information.

I think you are being very difficult now!

Dear Mr. Ribsskog,

Thank you for your e-mail about your bin access issues

Your enquiry relates to the positioning of the refuse storage on private property which falls outside our remit and we advise that you direct this towards your landlord. In relation to noise from patrons of bars and restaurants you may call Liverpool Direct on 0151 233300 and report this as noise pollution.

Unfortunately I am unable to comment on previous correspondence and ask that you speak to your landlord to see if they may furnish information and support in this matter

If you would like any further assistance on this matter or anything else please let me know via the e-mail address below

Hi,

I think it's strange if you can't send it to the Council-officers who where here.

They seemed to be interested in it.

If not, why did they call on my door?

I've been receiving training for the East Riding Council, (in Yorkshire), when I worked for Arvato, in the Cunard Building, (since they have out-sourched bin-problems enquieries etc., to Bertelsmann Arvato).

And then we where thought to say things like, 'I'll send it to the right person, and they'll contact you back'.

So I think it's strange that you don't tell me something like that.

Hi,

that's very fine!

I just wanted to explain to you, in the Council, how the garbage-arrangement works, for Hope Chambers.

Since I'm from Norway, but Mr. Grimes explained it in proper English, in his e-mail.

Since the Council sent officers in uniforms, on my door, last year, to ask about this.

But, the system is a bit complicated, to explain about, (for me as a Norwegian), so that's why I sent you Mr. Grimes' explanation.

It would be very fine, if you could send it to the officers from the Council, who was here last year.

(I think one of them had a mustache).

Then they are going to be able to grasp more about the garbage-situation, in Leather Lane and Dale St.

Then they know where the people in Hope Chambers throw the garbage, because I'm not sure if I managed to explain this, very good, last year.

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Hi,

I think it's a bit un-practical arrangement, for the people letting here, in Hope Chambers.

That one have to throw the garbage, in an area, where a lot of people is gathered.

It's just stupid.

But I'll just let it lay right inside the gates then, for the restaurant Lady of Mann, if the court-yard is packed with people.

That should be on private property, so it's not's like it's laying in Dale St., or anything then.

Thank you very much for your help.

The noise is much worse from G-bar, that's in Eberle St., since G-bar also is in Leather Lane, right across from Hope Chambers.

They play load music, untill 6 AM. each Sunday.

But I guess you've probably got a lot of complaints about this from before?

I sit up all night doing computer-work, on Sundays, so that's ok.

But then it isn't easy to get up early, the next day, before the court-yard is packed, with the garbage.

But anyway, just to explain, I'll remember what you wrote in the earlier e-mails.

Thank you very much for you help!

Erik Ribsskog

Hi,

it's the court-yard behind the pub Rigby's in Dale St.

It's where some people from the restaurant Lady of Mann, eat, and where some people from Rigby's pub drink, I think.

The court-yard is sometimes packed with people.

And, they are wearing posh suits and summer-dresses, and things like that.

I think these are people who aren't used to being asked, to step away, and give room, for people throwing garbage.

So I'm a bit afraid their going to react and attack, if I ask them to do that.

Also, they make a lot of noise, with chatting load, so I don't think they would hear me.

Maybe the bins should be in Leather Lane, and not in the restaurant/pub-area?

Best Regards,

Erik Ribsskog

PS.

I also send a copy e-mail, to Mr. Grimes at the Landlord, T.J. Thomas, about this.

Dear Mr. Ribsskog,

Thank you for your e-mail about access to your bins.

If the people are obstructing the bins in a public area it would not be in our jurisdiction to act. If the people are obstructing the bin and they are on private property then this becomes a police matter. If this is the case, you can report this to the police on their non-emergency number on 0151 709 6010.

With regards to you not always having access to the bin store you would need to speak to your landlord or letting agent to ensure that the gates to the courtyard can be opened at all times to allow you and other residents to dispose of your domestic waste.

If you would like any further assistance on this matter or anything else please let me know via the e-mail address below

Subject: Problems with garbage in Leather Lane and Dale St./Fwd: Storage & Disposal of Rubbish

Hi,

some officers, from the Council, wondered about the garbage, in Leather Lane and Dale St., last year.

Some of the problem is, that the bin store, for Hope Chambers, is in the inner-most corner, in the court-yard, behind Rigbys Pub.

And that court-yard, is often filled with drunks or social drinkers and restaurant-guests.

So the store bin is being opstructed.

Like here:

And household-waste has to be put in the purple bins, which are being oppstructed by lot's of people who are often a bit drunk.

So they might get aggressive, if you try to push them away, I fear.

(Also, Mr. Grimes at T.J. Thomas, writes that the bin store is accessable, 24/7, but that isn't true, the gates for the courtyard, are closed, sometimes before 11 pm, and sometimes don't open untill 12 am.

So people can't throw the garbage, before work, if one have a 9 to 5 job, for instance.

Just for your information, since your Council-officers, (with white and black uniforms, almost like the police), wondered about this, last year, and knocked on my door, to ask about this.

Best Regards,

Erik Ribsskog

Hi Mr. Grimes,

ok, I'm just not sure what to do with the drunks.

Since I'm from Norway, I'm not sure how to get English drunks, to move.

But I'll do my best.

Thanks very much for you reply!

Erik,

Further to you e-mail addressed to Lorna Murphy.

The bin store for Hope Chambers is located in the right hand corner of the Courtyard area to the rear of Thomas Rigby's Public House.

Rubbish should be stored within your apartment until you are ready to use the bin store provided.

Although the bin collection for this complex is on a Monday morning the bin store can be accessed at anytime during the week.

As such there should be no reason for rubbish to mount up within your apartment.

If you wish to discuss this matter further please call me on 0151 708 6544.
