Hi,

I read about this vacancy on the Jobcentre website, and wanted to please apply for this postition.

I've worked for fifteen years, in retail, in Norway, in the chains CC, (now ICA), Coop, and Rimi, (now ICA). I worked as a manager for ten of these years. I worked four years, as a Shop Manager, (in three different shops, since I got good results in the first shop, so I got a big shop, (Rimi Kalbakken), with a turnover of around £90k a week, in year 2000). And I worked for around four years as an Assistant Manager, in two shops, before I became Shop Manager, and after I started studying again, in 2002, I worked for two years, as a Key Holder. All the management-jobs were in the budget-shop-chain Rimi. The two years I worked at Coop was at a big hyper-market called Matland/OBS Triaden, where I worked mostly in the check-out, but also in the fresh food department, etc., (I worked at this shop, in a sandwich-year, while studying, and then later, besides studying).

I have a Norwegian Foundation-degree in IT, called 'Høgskolekandidat', from Oslo University College, from 2009. I've also studied Information Management, at a private University College in Norway, called NHI, (owned by Vivendi), which I've read in an article, in a Norwegian magazine called Computer World, that was perhaps a better academy than University of Oslo. From NHI I also had many business-modules, like Marketing, Management, Financing and Business Adminstration & Economy. I've also studied Computing, on the Study Abroad-programme, at the University of Sunderland, in 2004/05.

I'm unemployed so I could start as soon as possible.

I attach my CV and hope to hear back from you!

Yours sincerely,

Erik Ribsskog
