Good morning,

Former Anglo Irish Bank chief executive David Drumm landed back in Dublin this morning after abandoning his battle against extradition to face charges relating to the collapse of the lender. Ciaran Darcy and Ciaran Hancock will be reporting on the day's event.

Swiss-Irish group Aryzta said it saw revenues rise 5.5 per cent to EUR1.96 billion during the six months to the end of January, on the back of a increases sales of speciality foods. Meanwhile revenues at  Applegreen rose by 15 per cent to  in 2015, the Irish petrol forecourt retailer said on Monday, as strong consumer sentiment in Ireland helped drive the group forward.

There's more good news for the construction sector with the latest survey showing activity rising at the fastest rate in more than 15 years - though still well down on the bubble-era peaks. Mark Paul reports

Telecoms group Three is making a 65 million euro investment in technology as it continues to integrate the O2 business in Ireland.

In his column, Cliff Taylor warns that time is not on the side of Ireland's political parties as they look to form a workable government, not least because of the importance to our economy of the UK vote on Brexit.

For her part, following the recent death of Ray Tomlinson, Lucy Kellaway takes aim at email, which he is credited with "inventing". It has, she says, led only to making everyone passive aggressive.
