Hei,

Subject: Statement on Threats from White Supremacists

To: <eribsskog@gmail.com>

ERIKA,

Black leaders and Black groups have been impacted by the threat of white supremacy since this country's founding.

Last week, myself and Alicia Garza -- another BLM co-founder -- were included when the FBI contacted us to inform us that they found our names on a white supremacist's list of potential targets.

Watch and share my full statement below:

Response to being targeted by white Supremacists.

WATCH AND SHARE

We have lost heroes of Black movements by assassination too many times, and even today the threat of that reality exists among leaders working towards liberation.

These threats are so many of our realities -- domestic terrorism has risen to heights we haven't seen in over a quarter-century. The president himself refuses to condemn white supremacy and has incited multiple accounts of violence, including when he told a white supremacy group on live television to stand by.

But let me be clear: No threats against me or our movement will stop us.

And with just a few days left until Election Day, we've got to put all of our energy into taking our protest to the polls.

If you are reading this and haven't made a plan to vote yet, make one now and encourage everyone you know to do the same by visiting our voting portal at whatmatters2020.com

VOTE

This year and in elections to come, let your voice be your protest. Black lives are always on the ballot -- and we're not going to allow white supremacy to thrive.

Let's fight to make sure our voices are heard.

In love and solidarity,

Patrisse Cullors
