Nå har jeg sittet noe sånt som en halvtime foran PC-en, mens Windows har kjørt en oppdatering, (som den visst seinere angret på). Jeg kan ikke huske at Windows oppførte seg på denne måten, (at man måtte vente lenge på at den oppdaterte), rundt årtusenskiftet, (da Windows XP var vanlig). Hva driver Microsoft med, lurer jeg

Jeg synes, at Windows 10, nokså ofte, er litt, som et virus. For det operativsystemet, får ganske ofte, laptop-en min, (som jeg kjøpte, ifjor sommer), til å gå, veldig treigt. Windows 10 er kanskje stabilt, med det var Windows XP og, (for å si det sånn). Man kan kanskje lure på, hva grunnen er, til at Microsoft kommer, med nye Windows-versjoner, hele tida. 'Same shit, new wrapping', er det noe som heter. Hm

Og Windows 10 er visst basert, på NT-teknologi.

Og jeg tok et ukes-kurs, i Windows NT, (hos Global Knowledge Network, på Skullerud), i 1998.

(Det kurset kostet cirka 10.000 kroner, (husker jeg).

Penger som min mor ønsket å låne/gi meg, (for at jeg skulle ta dette kurset da), husker jeg.

Selv om jeg vel ikke hadde diskutert dette, så mye, med min mor.

Det var Magne Winnem, (min russe-kamerat), som jeg vel prata mest med, om data, på denne tida, (på slutten av 90-tallet).

Men det er mulig, at han har prata, med min søster Pia, om dette.

For min mor satt sammen med min søster Pia, (i min mors leilighet, i Drøbak), da hu begynte å prate om, at hu ønsket å låne meg penger, for det nevnte kurset.

Noe sånt).

Så NT-teknologien, (til Microsoft), er cirka 20 år gammel, da.

Og så har liksom Microsoft gitt ut, en ny versjon, av NT, 'hvert år'.

(Noe sånt).

Og kalt dette for XP, Vista, Windows 8, Windows 10, osv., osv.

(Noe sånt).

Så dette er litt som keiserens nye klær.

Eller at Microsoft bytter 'skin', på NT.

Eller at de liksom 'sminker ei gammal hore', (som vel noen sier).

Og hva er alternativet, til Windows, (som Microsoft bruker, som verdens største 'melkeku', må man vel si).

Jo, det er jo Linux.

Og Linux er vel en finsk oppfinnelse.

Men jeg har vært skeptisk, til å bruke Linux.

Jeg husker norske irc-ere, som ikke kunne skrive 'æ', 'ø' og 'å', (på midten/slutten av 90-tallet), for eksempel.

Så jeg er nok litt skeptisk, når det gjelder, hvilke programmer, som finnes, for Linux.

Og også når det gjelder printer-drivere, osv.

Hvis man kjøper en printer/scanner.

Finnes det da drivere, for denne printeren, som er laget, for Linux, liksom.

Det kjenner jeg ikke så bra til.

For jeg har ikke hoppet ut, i Linux-verdenen, liksom.

For jeg har vært så vant med, å bruke Windows, (siden 90-tallet).

Og jeg har jo gått på Windows NT-kurs, osv.

Så å da bytte, til Linux, (uten å kjenne Linux noe særlig, eller kjenne folk som bruker det), det blir litt vel drastisk, (må man vel si).

(Noe sånt).

Så sånn er nok det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men det er kanskje litt rart, at det ikke finnes, noen konkurrenter, til Windows, i Amerika/Vest-Europa.

(Annet enn Linux, da).

Her har Microsoft mer eller mindre monopol, (må man vel si).

Det er vel litt rart, at ingen andre IT-firma, ønsker å satse på, å dele litt, av denne enorme 'kaka', som omsetningen av PC-operativsystemer, vel må kunne kalles.

Da jeg studerte Computing, ved University of Sunderland, (Faculty of Applied Sciences), studieåret 2004/05.

Så hadde jeg et tredjeårs-fag, som het E-Commerce, (husker jeg).

Og foreleseren, var en amerikaner, ved navn Harry Erwin, som hadde flyttet over, til Europa.

Og han sa det, at Windows hadde en så stor kjerne/'kernel', (var det vel), i forhold til Linux.

At Windows var, som å forsvare, hele kysten av England, mot vikingangrep.

(Når det gjaldt, hvor utsatt Windows var, for datavirus-angrep).

Mens Linux sin 'kernel', (var det vel, at Erwin kalte det), var mye mindre.

Så Linux var mye enklere, å forsvare, mot datavirus osv., da.

Så Iwin sammenlignet Linux, med å skulle forsvare, en borg/by, (og ikke en helt kyst-strekning), mot vikinger.

For å vise forskjellen, mellom Windows og Linux, da.

Så Windows har visst, en veldig stor kjerne/'kernel', da.

Som er veldig vanskelig, å forsvare, mot datavirus-angrep, osv.

Men Linux er vel ikke helt på høyden, når det gjelder brukervennlighet og program/driver-utvalg, osv.

Så Microsoft har en slags monopol-situasjon, (må man vel si).

Så de kan vel gjøre, mer eller mindre, som de vil, (må man vel si).

Og alle Windows-versjoner, siden 90-tallet, har hatt, en automatisk oppdaterings-funksjon, (via internett), sånn som jeg husker det.

Men likevel, så gir Microsoft, 'hele tida', ut nye versjoner.

Hva er vitsen da, med disse automatiske oppdateringene, (kan man kanskje lure på).

Det blir vel da, litt 'smør på flesk' liksom, med disse online oppdateringene, (må man vel si).

(Noe sånt).

Så sånn er nok det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

Og etter at jeg ble arbeidsledig, (i England), på slutten, av 2008.

Så ville den britiske arbeidsformidlingen, at jeg skulle ta, en del kurs, hos Learn Direct.

Og et av disse kursene, het ECDL.

Og det betydde: 'European Computer Driving Licence'.

(Noe sånt).

Og i det kurset, så lærte man, masse 'snedige' triks, for å bli mer effektiv, når man brukte, Microsoft sine programmer.

Men når jeg begynte, å bruke, Windows 8/10.

Så var mye forrandret, fra Windows XP, (sånn som jeg husker det).

(Selv om jeg ikke husker nøyaktig hva dette var, akkurat nå).

Men det er rart, at Microsoft ikke kan ha standarder, som de viderefører, fra en Windows-versjon, til den neste, (må man vel si).

Her må vel da, millioner av folk, (verden over), ta et nytt kurs, siden at Microsoft har bestemt seg for, å endre menyer og alt mulig rart, i den nye versjonen, av Windows/NT.

Og dette er vel muligens, fordi at Microsoft, får penger, av de som organiserer kursene.

(Og at de ønsker, å tjene mer penger.

Og derfor 'tuller' litt, når de gir ut, et nytt operativ-system.

Sånn at 'alle', må på kurs igjen, liksom.

Noe sånt).

Så sånn er muligens det.

Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

Men men.

Nå har jeg oppgradert, til Windows 10. (Det fulgte en gratis oppgradering, med laptop-en). Så får vi se, om det operativsystemet, er noe bedre, enn de tidligere Windows-versjonene. Vi får se
