Hi,
I'm refering to Mr. John Uptons letter, from 13/1.
He writes that he has contacted Sencia, about my complaint, and they tell him three lies, I think I have to say, that's why I'm trying to escalate this.
Mr. Upton writes that Sencia tells him:
'a. Their CV stated that you ahve industry specific IT skills':
This isn't right at all.
Mr. Ellis, at Sencia, insisted he wanted to assess my IT skills, which are these:
IT-skills: (Java, Pascal, Pearl, Machine-code, wed-design, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Linux, System/Network-administration, System-development, Computer-security, E-Commerce, Relation Databases, unix, data-modelling, operating-systems, expert-systems, discrete mathematics, statistics, Computer Arcitecure, algorithms and data-structures, Basic).
(I've gone to a Reed CV-writing-course last week, where we learned to assess our skills etc.)
But Sencia just wrote: 'Excellent IT [..] skills'.
That's not industry specific IT skills, and that's not to assess my IT skills like Mr. Ellis insisted and said he would to in my first PA-meeting at Sencia.
'b. The gap in your employment history mentioned on their CV from 2004-2005 was the same as detailed on your CV'.
This isn't the year from my complaint.
This year I was a student, at study abroad, at the university of Sunderland.
My complaint is that Sencia put a gap in my employment history, from May 1993 to June 1994, that doesn't mirror reality.
I don't understand how Mr. Upton ca buy Sencia excuses.
I think if one look at my CV, there isn't a gap for 2004, so how could Mr. Upton buy this explanation from Sencia?
I admit I haven't sent you my CV, with this complaint, but I can attach my last version of my own CV with this e-mail.
And provide earlier versions upon request.
'c. The qualificiations on their CV are the same as on your CV':
This isn't true at all, I have no qualification from NITH, on my CV.
Only from Oslo University College.
So 'c' is something Sencia have made up, I'm afraid I have to say, (since they have added a Foundation Degree in Information Management, on their CV, which I don't have in real life).
I've tried to get Sencia to correct the mistakes on my CV, because I wanted to be on level with my Personal Advisor, but they just refused.
I think they should add an error/mistake-editing procedure, to their CV-making-process.
Since they really just make a CV, and that's it.
Where as e.g. Ladders have an error/mistake-editing procedure, I've read about on the Ladders website.
So Sencia just produce low-quality CV's, it seems to me, if I dear to be honest and a bit direct in this.
Hope that you can have a second look at my complaint.
Even if I'm finished with Employment Zones at Sencia, I don't want to have on my reputation that I write complaints that are wrong, (when I think this comlaint is really right).
Hope this is alright!
Yours sincerely,
Erik Ribsskog
