My name is Stephen Wynkoop, I'm the founder of SSWUG and I want to
personally welcome you to our community.
Community? I think so...we have over 500,000 people registered and an
incredibly active forum, list server and email discussion area.
Not to mention tens of thousands of articles, Logins and more.
As a registered guest you now have free access to a ton of this material.
As you browse through the site you'll see that many articles are marked
with as members-only. These are for paid members only, and we'd love to
have you join us.
But don't worry, there are hundreds of articles marked for guest are not
some kind of "junior content". The way it works is that the free articles
are selected at random and remain available for 7 days. That way you get a
selection from all the articles.
If at any time you feel you want or need full access to everything on the
site, you can simply upgrade to full membership. It's not expensive...less
than $7 a month if you select the annual plan.
You can upgrade at any time from the "User Center" area in the top of the
site, or here's a direct link: http://www.sswug.org/usercenter.
In the meantime, here are a couple of things I want to bring to your
attention:
1. Be sure to check out SSWUGtv - we have a weekly show and other specials
you can watch any time you like. Find out more here:
http://www.sswug.org/media
2. Take a look at the forums - there are great questions and answers there
to many of the things we all face daily when working with databases.
http://www.sswug.org/forums
3. Check out the list servers, these are email-based discussions that let
you ask questions via email and get help, see what other people are doing
and much more.
http://www.sswug.org/listserver
4. Be sure to go through the white papers and the product directory.
There is a wealth of information in these resources.

Finally, please keep this email safe in a folder somewhere, as it includes
your registration information...just in case you forget your ID.

P.S. BTW - if you decide to upgrade to full membership soon, you're
covered. Even if you decide to cancel within the first 7 days (which are
free), you still get to keep the software.
