Hi,
I also wanted to complain to you about that I haven't been given income support, for the years 2007 and 2008, from Liverpool City Council.
I was self-employed, but earned less than the national minimum wage, each month.
I'm from Norway, so I haven't been aware of how to apply for income support, untill some years after this employment.
(I worked on behalf of a company named Packaging Europe, (also called Positive Publications), in Norwich).
I have later contaced Liverpool City Council, regarding if I could get income support and council tax benefit, for 2007 and 2008.
Since I've got debt to Barclays and the Council and the water-company and the Landlord etc., from those years.
But the Council just say my claim is 'out of date'.
Without refering to any laws or something similar.
So I wanted to complain about this as well, since I have acumilated debt now, since I wasn't aware of the income support-arrangement, in 2007 and 2008.
One could say I could have contacted Citizens Advice, but they 'messed' with me, in an employment-case, from 2006.
And I tried to focus on the employment-case, since I had been in contact with the Norwegian Embassy etc., about it.
So I didn't get to apply for income support.
But I think I should have been given this, (and council tax benefit), now.
Since I got a lot of debt, (like £2-3000 perhaps), in 2007 and 2008, since I didn't get the income support and council tax benefit, which I really had the right to get, (as I understand it now).
