Hi,
in May 1995, (I think it must have been), I had been on an assistant-job-cruise, on the Oslofjord, with Rimi, where I worked as an Assisting Manager, at the time.
The Region Manager there, Jon Bekkevoll, dragged some of the assistants to the Dubliner, after the cruise.
He put his credit-card in the bar, and most of the assistants, who went there, (expect me who wasn't used to drinking on peoples credit-cards), drank on his credit card.
(I had some notes in my wallet which I bought lager for).
The assistants, (who I only knew Thomas Sanne of, since I'd been his manager, at Rimi Nylænde, at Lambertseter, the summer before), started to sing a song, like if they were Jon Bekkevoll's fan-club.
To the tune of Jon Blund, (an Easter European TV-program for kids often shown on Norwegian TV-channel NRK):
'Hvem er denne karen med sekk og lue på.
Han ligner litt på nissen i grunn.
Det er ikke han det er Jon Bekkevoll.
Han besøker store og små'.
And the last words were sung in a very low tune.
So it became a bit scary perhaps.
So I left the group a bit, and met a young Irish woman, who played flute in a band there, and who dragged me to the musicians table there, where I sat drinking and chatting, for a while, while she sometimes played folk-music, inbetween the chatting.
Then Thomas Sanne and two other Rimi-assistants came to our table and told me they were going to Thors Hammer.
I told them I'd might go there later.
And I think told the Irish woman that they went to Thors Hammer, which was almost a bit like a 'nazi-place', I thought I'd read in the papers.
(Something like this).
The Irish woman then after a while didn't want to chat any longer.
So I also went to Thors Hammer, but Thomas Sanne and his mates weren't there any longer.
I just wonder if you know which folk-band this could have been.
If that's possible to find out.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Yours sincerely,
Erik Ribsskog
