Hei,

LTB 199/16 Major Event at CWU Conference 2016 - Tuesday 26th April
No. 199/2016
31st March 2016
Dear Colleagues
Major Event at CWU Conference – Tuesday 26th April
I am pleased to confirm that the CWU has secured a major event at this year’s Annual Conference. On Tuesday 26th April from 7.30pm, at the BIC we will be hosting a night of music, comedy and politics as part of the #JC4PM tour. Alongside CWU speakers, we have secured high profile guests including Billy Bragg, Charlotte Church, John McDonnell, Attila the Stockbroker, Shappi Khorosandi, Francesca Martinez and others.
This event, like our People’s Post rally in Manchester will also be opened up for the public to attend. CWU Conference delegates have been automatically allocated a ticket for the evening. All you will need to do is bring your Conference pass. Members of the public need to obtain tickets, which will be available for free via eventbrite, shortly. As soon as these become available we will share the details with all branches so you can assist with the promotion of the event.
This high profile event is a major coup for the CWU. In line with this, we would hope that all Conference delegates take the time to support the evening.
Finally, a collection will be held on the night in support of Paul Maloney, Chair of the Birmingham and District Amal Branch.
Yours sincerely
Dave Ward
General Secretary
